Robert F. Seibel

Advisory Board Member

Robert F. Seibel, or “Bob” as he is affectionately referred to by those who know him, is a founder and director of the Consortium for Access to Justice.

This collaborative community of Law Practice Incubators and Non-Profit Law Firms is designed to support attorneys or postgraduate law students who seek to become solo, small firm or non-profit practitioners. The Consortium’s mission is to help close the “justice gap” and guide lawyers to satisfying careers representing people who are typically under-served.

Bob was also the founder of the Access to Law Initiative (ALI), the incubator program at California Western School of Law (of which our Directors, Anthony M. Medina and Kyle L.H. Hargrave, were both members). Bob taught at California Western School of Law as a distinguished visiting Professor of Law for nine years.

Bob previously taught in the clinical program at Cornell Law and in the Elder Law Clinic at CUNY School of Law and several other law school clinical programs.  He is a past President and a founding member of the Board of Directors of the Clinical Legal Education Association (CLEA), and is also a past Chair of the AALS Section on Law and Computers.

Though Bob is technically retired from full-time practice and teaching, he is fully committed to helping fulfill a dream by making People’s Legal Services, Inc. a model for helping the community.
