Ruben Torres

Advisory Board Member

From the South San Diego community, as founder of the non-profit Love Thy Neighbor Movement (LTN), Ruben Torres has dedicated himself to creating a do-good movement focused on making a positive difference in the lives of all members of our urban communities.

With its new Chula Vista location, LTN has focused on programs, events, and initiatives that provide education, resources, tooling and fund raising opportunities to under-served individuals and families.

With his background in the entertainment industry Ruben decided to use his resources and event production experience to bring communities together to serve the less fortunate such as the annual LTN Toy Drive, HeART of Loteria, HeART of Lucha and HeART of Boxing Art Exhibitions.

Ruben has recently been certified as a community Chaplain and continues to network with community organizations such as the YWCA (Homeless families in San Diego), Dreams For Change, San Diego Dream Center, Es Por Los Niños in Tijuana, BC, MX (organization to help children with Aids), Training Center (Men’s home in Spring Valley Ca), Monarch School (Homeless students in San Diego), Stand Up for Kids, the San Ysidro School District, and Sonrisa De Angeles Orphanage in Tijuana, BC, MX.

Ruben’s unique perspective and community involvement is a huge benefit to PLS and our community focused programs.
